Show Notes – 001: Welcome to the Podcast!
In this first episode of the Happy Me Happy Earth podcast I introduce myself and then share why I decided to launch the podcast, who it is for, and some of the topics that we’ll be exploring together.
The HMHE podcast is now available wherever you get your podcasts including…
Introduction
I am on a mission to help changemakers expand their impact without sacrificing their health and well-being. Because as big-hearted souls we often lose ourselves in our work and in caring for others. I’ve been there!
Who is the Happy Me Happy Earth podcast for?
Whether you are currently focusing on creating change within yourself, your family, your community, or on a much larger scale, you are welcome here.
The purpose of the podcast is threefold…
First, to support us in developing confidence, clarity, and the Changemaker Mindset so that we can do work that actually makes a difference in this world, and consistently show up as our best selves instead of losing ourselves along the way.
Together let’s do the inner work so that we can then take aligned, sustainable action from a grounded, balanced, and centered place so that our inner change can then ripple out into our communities.
Second, I want to share my changemaker journey with you.
I’ve learned a lot in my past 2 decades of striving to create change and I’m still learning lessons now. I want to share what I’m learning with you in real-time as I continue to navigate the world and become a more effective changemaker myself.
I hope that you will feel less alone in your struggles by listening to me share my challenges in overcoming my fear of judgment, dealing with imposture syndrome, and trying to prevent myself from burning out again (it’s been 6 years since my last big burn out!), dismantling racism and other systems of oppression within myself, and balancing my impact work with the rest of my life.
Third, I hope that this podcast can be a moment in the week when you can break, laugh, relax, get inspired, and have fun.

Ayurveda is the system through which I now approach a lot of my personal healing and my work with clients.
If you’re not familiar with Ayurveda it is an ancient, holistic medical system with roots in the Indian subcontinent that was developed over thousands of years and written down about 3,000 years ago. It’s all about reconnecting with nature and aligning our lives with natural cycles in order to keep our bodies balanced and optimize our physical, mental, and emotional health.
I have been studying Ayurveda formally for about three years now (I am a certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor), and I’ve been a student of Ayurveda for much longer. I am excited to share this transformational ancient wisdom with you!
The one-and-only Deepak Chopra describes Ayurveda this way: Ayurveda “offers a body of wisdom designed to help people stay vibrant and healthy while realizing their full human potential.”
And THAT my friends, is what this podcast is all about.
We’ll be exploring how we can become more effective leaders and changemakers while actually enjoying the journey.
